Maria Sharapova, the Russian tennis ace, retired in the year 2020 and started the second set of her life. After giving tennis some great matches and records, the five-time Grand Slam champion is finally exploring other sectors.
Tennis pans around the entire year and gives only counted to none days of relief to players. Therefore, professionals often miss out on basic day-to-day joys. Well, now that Sharapova has said goodbye to the sport, she is cherishing every little thing of life, such as the fanny pack.
Maria Sharapova flaunts her new accessory
Recently Sharapova stumbled upon a recycled product from her Evian. A company that she has represented for several years. And the happiness of being affiliated with a brand that cares reflected in her latest Instagram post. She wrote, “Is it too late to jump on the fanny pack train?! Where have I been!”
“The entire capsule collection is made with recycled Evian Water bottles collected at New York’s largest tennis tournament last year.” She added. Thereafter, she jokingly asked, “Guess which one?”
Speaking of Sharapova’s career, she is one of the few players who challenged the 23 times Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams‘ prowess. In fact, her first Grand Slam win came against Williams the two times defending Wimbledon champion. Further, by the end of her career, she had a total of 36 singles title under her name and brought Russia a silver medal from 2012 London Olympics.
What is Sharapova up to post-retirement?
After retiring from tennis, the Russian diverted her energy towards her business and personal life. She recently welcomed her first child with finance Alexander Gilkes.
They have named the July born boy Theodore and since his arrival, Sharapova’s entire focus has shifted. Though we hope one of the most anticipated marriage of this year takes place soon.
The former world no.1 and the British businessman made their relationship public in the year 2018 and got an engagement in December 2021.
